 St Gerard Majella Craft Club

St Gerard’s Craft Club is an informal group of 35-40 ladies who meet each week.

Place: St Gerard’s Parish Hall (behind the church)
Time: Thursdays – 10am to 12pm
Cost: $2 (for morning tea)

Our Motto: Live well, laugh, love and learn.

We are a warm and caring group of ladies, each with different gifts and talents. Some of us come along just to watch and give support, while others like to be more involved. Along the way many friendships have developed, giving great pleasure to all.

Some activities undertaken by the Club include stamping, scrapbooking, making of cards, beads, jewellery and Christmas decorations, knitting, crochet and sewing.

Over the past five years, we have had many exciting guest speakers from very varied backgrounds. Our activities also include outings such as boat trips and morning teas. We work towards the big events in the parish – the Jumbo Jumble Sale, Cancer Biggest Morning Tea, Melbourne Cup Lunch and the Christmas Festival. The profit from our craft stalls helps support the parish community.

The Craft Club ladies radiate love and happiness and we continue to play a vital role in our Parish Community in giving emotional support to those who have recently lost a partner or family member. Those experiencing difficulty with illness or injury or other problems are welcome regardless of religion or ethnicity.
